RE: Waste valve jammed, and tank is full!!!!!

There was a post on hear not to long ago from a person who said if you can get to the back side of the valve and drill a small hole in the valve that is in the center of the plate. Then with a small screw driver push the plate open. You might have to take the bolts out to rotate the valve first. I have never tried and it sound like it could get messy so be prepared.

RE: kwikee steps

First you need to figure out if they have power or are stuck from setting. Do you hear any sound when you try to activate them. If you do give them a good lube and try to work them lose. (Mine will stick from setting) If they are not getting power start with the fuse then the ground.

RE: Ike prompted shutdowns of 14 Texas refineries

I can only wonder why people wait to the last minute to get gas. I no there are a few that can not avoid it but for most, when they see a hurricane off Cuba or anyplace heading for the US they should get as much gas as the can on the chance it will rise. The day of the hurricane the stations where lined up, That was to late, Gas had all ready to late. Gas had gone up .40

RE: Swimming pools

We had an above ground pool for about five years then my wife broke her rib and could not pull her self out of it so I told her this is dumb, We are getting older and with an in ground we can float on the step and just stand up, So we have had out in ground for ten years new and do not regret putting it in. Any one that tells you a pool is work has been doing it wrong. Other then opening and closing I work on ours less then an hour a week. Good luck and remember the sun screen

Glad it all worked out for you. How come you did not drive up to the next exit and pull off the road.

RE: No head Lights

I would pull one of the headlights and see if it has power coming to it. If you do then check and see if the headlights are good. Yes I know it's rare but you can burn out two at the same time.

RE: OLD CAMPERS (many photos included)

I love to see many of the old RV's being used. Some have been restored and look like new and others show there age, What I like to see most is a young family starting out RVing in what they can afford and having fun and making memories as they do it no matter how old the RV is.

RE: Mexico Cracks Down on US Fuel Buyers

They are buying a product from Mexico, and bringing it north just like so much that comes north. How much you want to bet someone in Texas or other border state complained to Mexico

RE: Exhaust vent or Ceiling fan in bedroom?

An Exhaust Fan in the bathroom can cause problems with smell from the black tank. If the fan is running and you flush the toilet it can pull the fumes from the tank up the toilet opening and cause a problem. As long as you turn the fan off first no problem but you have to teach everyone that first. Good Luck.

RE: Security while traveling

I have never carried anything. I have never felt unsafe in my RV but that might just be me. There are those that carry guns with permits. Cell Phone and 911, Just know where you are.

RE: Maybe I'm overlooking the obvious, but why would

If someone is staying at a CG for just a few days and paying dally rate then the electric is part of the rate and they save LP.

RE: Can we ease up on the horns and learn how to turn it off?

Car alarms have been in cars for a long time and car theft keeps going up. Auto makers did a good job of selling them. Every night in the campground you can hear all the horns beeping as everyone gets ready for bed. Then you have someone that is not sure how to work alarm so the do it over and over. I have offered to fix a few alarms for people that had alarms that kept going off but have not had anyone take me up on the offer.

RE: first florida winter

Some days you will need to change a few times, Starting out with long pants and a shirt and jacket then near noon shorts and sun screen then finish the day with the things you started with. Can't believe the weatherman there either so be prepared. It can just get hot and stay that way, Never can tell. Where are you planing on staying.
